First - know that her book spares no details. It is very graphic at times - not a book for younger audiences.
Second - if you or someone you know is having problems moving on because of past experiences her story is a must read.
"With my writings, I hope to convey that you can endure tough situations and survive. Not just survive, but be okay on the inside, too." Jaycee Dugard
I want to personally say thanks to Jaycee for telling her story. Not many have the guts to put it all out there. I believe her story can and will help a lot of people.
Her story brings to life the following verses.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 1 Peter 1:3-6
