Pastor Jeff is blogging about monkeys? Well, yes and no.
I'll get to the monkeys in a bit. But I'm not Pastor Jeff. I'm his assistant and Drama Director for Atlee Community Church, Lil. And I'm taking over his blog to check in with you on where we are in The Story so far.
We're three weeks into the series, and if you've missed one, just click on each title to watch the message: Creation, Noah, and Abraham. If you don't have a study guide, you can pick one up at any of our campuses, or email me at: email@example.com, and I'll be happy to mail one to you.
I was one of those kids who grew up in church, and I heard these stories. Maybe you've heard or read many of them too. They were adventures of larger-than-life heroes who lived a long, long time ago.
Now that we're all grown up, it's easy to put these stories on the shelf. How do these 'kids' stories apply to our lives today? What does a tree in a garden, or a boat (with monkeys on it) have to do with you - right now? Each week we're looking at one of the big stories of the Old Testament to see what we can discover about who God is and His relationship with each one of us. Each story also gives us a clue to a much larger story - a story in which you play a key part.
If you've been following the series, what is one thing that you've learned about who God is so far? Comment below or email me - I'd love to know how you're connecting with the series.
If you're just entering the series, what questions do you have about who God is? Please share those as well.
This Sunday The Story continues with Jacob and Joseph. What do cows have to do with God's big story? You'll have to come to find out...
